Cloth pads refer to reusable pads that can be washed and reused. The primary focus of cloth menstrual pads is female health and hygiene, as opposed to disposables. Many women are now using cloth pads instead of disposable ones. Cloth pads can be reused multiple times. Cloth menstrual pads must be washed and maintained after each use. Cloth pads have a five-year shelf life. It has the potential to live a long and healthy life if properly cared for.
Using cloth pads. How do you do it?
In the same manner as disposable sanitary napkins, reusable cloth pads are used. Then wrap the cloth pads around your underwear and press the stud to secure them in place.
Do this for at least 30 minutes after each use. In order to remove the stains from your cloth pads, soak them in warm water for a few minutes. If you’re going to soak, you can also add a few drops of sanitizer or detergent during the process.
Rinse thoroughly after washing by rubbing it with your hands.
Dry your cleaned cloth pads in the dryer or in the sun, depending on your preference.
It is recommended that you replace your pad every 4 to 6 hours. Keep your used pads in a zippered pouch. That way, you can wash it at home.
